Parent... "Patrick: Let me start off with a HUGE THANK YOU!! She LOVED it!!! All week she could not wait to go and enjoyed herself and learned a ton! While she was really sore especially the first couple of days, she was like bring it on. She was so proud of learning to dive. She was nervous and scared the first few times but loved it! The coach, Fritz enlightened them with a story every night, her favorite being the player who had eaten worms before every game. When I asked her if she would want to do this next summer she gave me one of those looks like are you honestly asking me this, does my enthusiasm all week not show you that I want more...So needless to say she can't wait for another goalie camp. I am hoping during the school vacations there are ones you offer through Rising Star or other arenas in the area. So anyway, Thank you!, your camp was AWESOME! Have a great remainder of the summer and looking forward to coming events through In the Net!"

Winter Clinics - Futsal Ball Skills & Games
Futsal is the way the world plays indoor soccer. Played on a basketball-size court without walls and a special low bounce ball, which requires players to use their skills rather than the ball's bounce to propel it, Futsal is a great skill-developer demanding quick reflexes, fast thinking, and pin-point passing.
Ball Touches:
In a statistical study comparing Futsal to indoor arena soccer with walls, players touch the ball 210% more often, which means more goals.
Ball Control:
With limited space, an out of bounds and constant opponent pressure, improved ball control skills and technique are required.
Speed of Play:
With limited space, constant opponent pressure and a 4 second restart rule players learn to play and think fast.
Mandatory Support:
Without a wall as a crutch, players must make supporting runs when their teammates have the ball.
Continuity of Play:
Action is continuous so players are forced to continue the play instead of stopping and watching.
Fun:
Players enjoy the challenge of playing a fast-paced-fun-skill-oriented game that test their abilities.
* Special Futsal balls will be provided but players must always bring flat shoes, shin guards and water to every class
The program runs on Saturdays at the Derry SportsZone with 1 hour games between 9a-12p each week (each division will play within the same time range each week). There will be 3, 7 week sessions starting the first week of November.
Each hour will consist of 15-20 min. of skills in the beginning and then a game without goalies to encourage foot skills, passing and shooting.
$150 for a 7 week session
$10 sibling discount
